Billboard unveiled

Rotterdam - 25 May 2007

Wytze Patijn (Dean of the Faculty of Architecture of the TU Delft) and architect Winy Maas unveiled the first billboard from a series of sixteen. Students who participated in Indesem 2007 : 'The Legacy', present their statements to the citizens of Rotterdam by showing how a specific place could look like sixty years from now. The billboards from 'The Legacy' show the heritage that the students want to leave to the world at the end of their carreer.

The first billboard is titled 'Green Hart 1400-2050'.

Due to climate change and lack of regional planning the so-called Green Heart of the Randstad will have disappeared. The City of Rotterdam therefore took it upon itself to preserve part of this manmade landscape. By transforming the park into a clearly designated public space it contributed to the legibility of the city.
